A better map for Cobra? I thought it was just fine. What more are you looking for? The counters were okay but some things like extra color wouldn't have helped anything but the armor divisions.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the invite. No last name? Did we know each other in another life?

move all the SS panzers in the first turn and strike between the US and British lines, with a couple of favorale die rolls you can reach the edge of the map and while you will get pushed back or surrounded and killed it will set the allies timetable back a long time and you dont have to worry about just retreating and getting carpet bobed to death lol. evry time i try it my opponents stare and comment that they have never seen that tactic before.

I don't use the "Conga Line Defense" that I've read about but I did have the opportunity to attack it. Unfortunately for the Japanese exchange student that tried it on me did not fully understand how ZOCs and major rivers work. I was able to wedge through the river and cut off most of his army. The breakthrough was just south of Caen. Through his attempt to continue to make the defense work and his being cut off of the east edge of the map it must have been close to as good as the Falaise Pocket. I still like the game but haven't played it in years due to exciting new games out there.

Steve,

Cobra used to be my all-time favorite until Phil Jones whipped severly one time. I still like it but wonder what the DG reprint/design is going to be like.
