As some may know, Tom Shaw has blessed our 50th anniversary PBEM Stalingrad tournament and it would be better if at least one more experienced player joined. The tournament will start after I make the random pairings December 15. Tom will be issuing a certificate to all who play in the tournament and special certificates to the top four. I appeal to all of you out there to join either by posting to http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX?7@782.sb4KcaQQZLk.62@.ee6c970/2943 or emailing me at angiolillo_joseph@hotmail.com Currently we have 7 experienced players and 6 novices. The tournament rules are simple using a four round Swiss system then semi-finals and finals. Here is the link to the tournament rules: http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX?14@782.sb4KcaQQZLk.86@.ee6c970/2968 This link is gives you the rules as an attachment to post #2815. According to Tom Shaw, Charles Roberts initially designed the game before he left the company and Lindsey Schutz and Tom Shaw developed the game. I will also be posting the actual designers and developers of the early games as the internet is only about 90% correct and I want to set the record straight. Not only did I interview Tom, who had actual documents: I taped the interview as well. In the Stalingrad PBEM tournament, I will personally donate the money for a first place plaque. Join in. We need more players. Joe Angiolillo (developer Axis & Allies and designer of many SPI, Gameshop, Nova, GTD, and Coleco games)
