Had a great time introducing Nils to some classic "The Guards Counterattack" ASL action today. Thanks for coming out, hopefully more to come.

Which is fine but I'm more than an hour away.

Almost no wargamers in the city as far as I can tell, they're all in the burbs.

Hi to Joshua and Nils. There isn't much activity on these boards.  I still host games here in Park Ridge with some regularity.  Nils, there is plenty of ASL to be had but you don't typically see much of it at Games Plus. There are several ASL groups in the far suburbs, the closest being Dave Kleinschmidt's (of the 2 Halfsquads Podcast fame) Palatine group. I don't really run a club but I have people drop in the play ASL (and others) all the time.  Drop me a line if you (or anyone) is interested in arranging something.

I'm out by the Mt. Prospect 'Games Plus' store.  Does anyone ever meet there to play some wargames?  I have ASL Beyond Valor and Yanks (still learning), Combat Commander, Napoleon's Last Gamble, US. Civil War (GMT) and other board games like Star Wars Rebellion, War of the Ring etc.

Hi, is this group still active? Looking for board wargames players reasonably (~30 min) convenient to the northeast side of Chicago, around Wilson.

Conflict of Heroes Organized Play
Saturday July 21, 2012
4:00pm - store close
The Wandering Dragon Game Shoppe in Plainfield, IL

We're getting Conflict of Heroes fans together some friendly, organized play. Depending on turnout we'll have a variety of 2, 4, and even 8 player firefights going. We'll be playing until store closing so come when you can!

New players are welcome, but it helps if you check out the rules online and/or bring someone who knows how to play too. Others will be on hand to help too!

Please register her so we can properly plan: http://bit.ly/coh_dragon

WE LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING YOU! If you have questions, let me know. Thanks!
