I should be setting up Omaha with TBFN but instead I'm performing counter errata in the Gamebox.

ok but how about the old SPI and newer DG title The War Between the States?  That was a large 3-mapper with tons of counters....

I never played WiF but I cringe when I hear people refer to Civil War as a monster game. NOT!

I think old school WIF may not have fit the bill, but with all the additions including maps and counters, I think it now qualifies.  Never considered The Civil War one.

I like the way this is leaning. Got tired of hearing WiF/Civil War being called a monster.

Then again, WiF's gotten bigger since I played it.

Since standard games come with 1 to 2 maps, anything over 2 is leaning toward monster status.  I'd put the counter count at 1,000+.  Some monsters are bigger than others.  Having the word "monster" in the game alone doesn't make it a monster game.... ;)

How many maps make a monster or is it number of counters?..or both?..I guess player aid coverage would count too...for example does 'Proud Monster Deluxe' classify?

I see lots of Battle for Normandy talk from last year.  I am all over this game at the moment.  Looking for ftf games via vassal. 4-player games with this could be very good.

I'm playing the ultimate monster game. Guderian's Blitzkreig / Case Blue combo. theres 6 of us. We are 15 turns into it so far. playing on vassal with full fog of War. Probably the coolest wargaming experience I've had in my 40+ years of wargaming.
