Seeing Ian Weir's descriptions for Army of the Rhine, the next entry in the system.  I couldn't bring myself to get Army of Flanders, so I doubt I'll get this one.  But it's not for lack of wanting these games or hoping to play!  Maybe someday!

Anybody play ARMY OF FLANDERS?  That's the only title I don't have, mostly because of the expense (I had to draw the line somewhere!)  Is it worth it for those aficionados of the Lace Wars series?  If you have all the other games in the series, is it still?

We are playing a weekly session RL! 1689 CG.

By now we have started 4 times resulting always in Jacobites taking Derry, and so we have started some minor changes to resolve this trouble.

We have studied a modified Siege and Blockade rule, some reduction on Leader, Depot and OP losses on minor battles, changed Major battles numbers accordying to CY numbers, and lately changing Quarterly events to 4, 8, 12 and 16, so taking effect from the first season Operation Phase.. and eliminating the first turn Quarterly rolls and replacements. Also considering minor roads everywhere for LOC to HUBs -we use the  2xMaps- and limiting Garrison Isolation rules to non-friendly territory.

I will start a turn by turn AAR in this 5th CG, that we hope we´ll finish after reaching 1691.

The good thing is that we have enjoyed every turn we have played.
