Thank you Gary Anderson!! Got ZunTzu working like a charm on my new win10 computer!!! Love this program, I had made extensive notes on developing gameboxes before the website went down. Trying to edit them so someone else could understand them. I am so happy!! well as much as possible with how things are in the world.

Appreciate whatever you can do John to contact the developer and bring Zun Tzu back!  I would be willing to help out with development if there is a need.

Micael and I just tested out ZT's synchronous play capability and it still works!  I am pretty excited about that.

Steven and I just managed to get ZT running synchronously!  Thanks again Gary.

I will try to reach out to the developer next week. Hopefully he will respond and we can find out where the codebase is at, etc. and if he is looking for any possible help. Not sure how this will play out, but probably a good idea to explore at the very least....

I haven't used ZT synchronously in a 4-5 years.  I just tried to host a game on ZT and got a message about ZT's central server being out of service.  I then selected the host anyway option but could not connect to another PC running ZT.

Thanks Gary!  And question for Michael... sounds like you have been able to get Zun Tzu working for synchronous play with online remote opponents?  I have not been able to get it working for that, so would be interested in how you have been able to do that.

Gary, thanks very much.  I am hopeful that someone will pick up support for ZunTzu.  There is nothing like it if you want to quickly create a module for solo or synchronous play.

Okay, the ZunTzu zipfile is attached. Just unzip it and drop the folder anywhere you like (no installation process necessary). Navigate the folder to find the ZunTzu executable (ZunTzu.exe). Run that, and you are in business. I included more specific details in the readme, but it is not complicated at all.

If the original developer (and I am sorry to say I do not know who that is) is no longer in the picture, it would be great if someone else could rescue this superb app. ZunTzu is clean, transparent, and intuitive -- especially when compared to what seems to be the community favorite, Vassal, which I find clunky and dense.

I am in the process of salvaging the instructional files from the ZunTzu site, with the help of Wayback. I think the gameboxes which were housed there are lost, as Wayback doesn't seem to archive them.

Let me know if the attached file doesn't work for you, and I will help if I can.

someone taking it over if the original developer agreed with that approach would be great. Just anything to keep it alive and thriving. I consider it a wonderful platform.
