Rock of the Marne (Turn 8 to Finale) - MMP (SCS)

"Great to see this particular SCS title get some love!  Some have said that the Standard Combat Series was never a good fit for World War I, but this game and OPERATION MICHAEL seem to work quite well.  I even love DRIVE TO PARIS!  "

Jeff, I learned cartography (the old pen and ink way and some computer-assisted) in college in 1980-81 or so and dodged a job at Defense Mapping Agency in St. Louis to join the Marine Corps.  In 1989-1990 they sent me to the Air Force imagery interpretation school at Goodfellow AFB in Texas.  When I first joined the Corps I was an tank officer and trained at the U.S. Army Armor School at Fort Knox.  Then I became an intelligence officer and retired about ten years ago.  Unlike you, I've not gotten into mapping mostly because my life is so full I've got little to no time!

Welcome to the CONSIMWORLD Social Website, Jeff!  I confess I love those Berg ACW games as well but don't get to play them all that often (I have such a broad range of interests in board wargames).  What did you think of POLAND DEFIANT?  I found it to be  the best game on the campaign, mostly because it is limited to the first ten days, is a chit-pull system, and the German victory conditions and Operational Pace requirements are so tough!  Here's hoping you find some groups that you'll join and contribute to; if you don't, maybe you'll create some of your own that others can discover and comment within!
