And they need proper attire. I haven't seen a Grognard T-shirt in decades, so I want to do a print run of some description this Fall, before Winter Gaming sets in.I'd appreciate some ideas for…Continue

Any thoughts on this new TPS game? The cover at least is superb. I've never played a game on this operation, but I know Vae Victus has something out there.......this is definitely something I could sink my teeth into. I've been supremely hacked off at Phormio since I first read Thucydides: Idiot!!

I like those trays. Nice work
Not really. We've been playing Wargods of Aegyptus, a fantasy ancient miniatures rules set, and they have a classical greek mythology segment. I have a unit of about 20 satyrs painted, but that's about it. I did play several ancients games years back, like the SPI Pre-Stags series, and have down some Alexander games, but nothing recently. Did you get to play ion Matt Hinkle's game? He is an outstanding ref.
Hey, Rob! Looks like you're a Rev War fan, as am I. I've played CoA's Germantown a few times, including one excellent play-by-email game reffed on this site about a year or two ago. The game system is worth learning, because the games play very well. Also played Brandywine and Monmouth but not extensively. Haven't played their 1777 game but would like to.
My gaming is mostly miniatures, role play and beer & pretzels level games. Just don't seem to have enough free time for face-to-face war-games. And the counters are getting harder to see!
I do run 25mm Rev War miniatures scenarios, mostly using a simple home brew rules set. Have run about 20 different scenarios, mostly from the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777-1778.

Rob, Thanks for asking me to become your friend. As far as "The Epic of the Pelopponesian War" goes, I visit that forum everyday just because I own the game. I have never played it though since there is no one around where I live (Leavenworth, KS) that plays board wargames. For that matter I don't play any games that are in my collection for the same reason.

OMG! What a small world, Rob. I live in Shoreview. I bet we've met at the Source or possibly Castle Games. I am a huge Redmond Simonsen fan, and really love the StarForce mileu (I incorporated it into my Traveller game back when I was doing that).
Currently I'm spearheading a group of people to reprint Vietnam 1965-75, including the designer himself.
Let's meet for a beer sometime and network
