My first experience with consim gaming was actually the old AH Starship Troopers game. I found it at a local flea market, thought it sounded cool, and brought it home to learn and play it. Later, found Star Fleet Battles in a flea market, and fell in love with that too.
My first historical game was actually World at War: Eisenbach Gap- I had been playing GW games for a while, decided I wanted to try something different, went to boardgamegeek and it was currently the #1 wargame, bought it, loved it, and just kept expanding.

Well, I'm a professional computer scientist for the government. I love gaming (obviously), but I'm pretty well-around outside of that. Played football (poorly) in high school, was a ballroom and latin dancer in college, and am willing to try almost anything at least once =).
