Hi Toshikazu,

Just in case, I would like let you know, I posted a message, using your email address, available on Vassal. Attached to it there a PBEM file about the first Unionist moves for Lee Vs Grant.
I'm fine to play with either side, so if you prefer to play as Unionist, just ignore it and send me your initial moves.

Oops I left out a bit at the beginning of my message (fast copy and past):

Hi Toshikazu,

I look forward to play with you Lee Vs Grant. I'm fine to play it either side.

BTW, I started to play GCACW by PBEM just few days ago with Joey Sabin, who maybe you already know (he is one of the Vassal GCACW players). I actually have to admit I liked to play it this way. My doubt was that due the highly interactive GCACW game system, playing it my PBEM, would have been too long, but we were able to exchange files at least one for day. Moreover, having the time to analyze the moves and to check the rules many times (I have played HCR and RTG more than 10 years ago and I remember just how good were those games, also I haven't played any wargame for the last 10 years, but played lots of them before). So, if you prefer playing by PBEM instead than RT, I'm fine too.

Just in case, tomorrow, will send you an initial file (campaign scenario) and if you are not fine with that, you will be sending me the first.
I don't know what convetions you prefer, for the file names, I suggest something like leeVSgrant1a, where '1' is the turn and the letter part is just to differentiate the file progression (this is how Joey taught me he does and it make sense to me). Of course if you have another system you prefer, just let me know.

On other hand, if you agree, we can try RT playing it even this weekend. As you wish.

Unfortunately I don't have neither that number of The Skirmisher, neither GTC. I have a buddy in Italy, who promised to send me a copy of GTC rules, but it seems he is very busy right now and it will take a while.
I'm also shaping out, in my mind a way to handle FOG, by sort of force markers. When I will have something more complete, than just some raw ideas, I will submit it to you, if that is fine with you, for your feedback.

Looking forward to cross the dice with you.

What about a Lee Vs Grant vassal RT game?
I see our timezone are quite compatible (I found this a major problem, to find Vassal Players).
This link shows a our timezone time compared (with other 3 I use). I'm Italian but live in Australia (+10 GMT)
Moreover, without being in a hurry for it, we may be able to workout some fog of war house rules, for Lee Vs Grant. I have the suspect that GCACW, will be less suitable, for such exploration, due its deeper game details.
BTW, I know it exist a set of rules, for GCACW fog of war, in the second issue of The Skirmisher. At this link its table of Contents, looks for point 6:
