the Map size in the full version is much larger.
have a look at this http://www.bader-software.de/Images/Beach.jpg
I did in exactly 30 Minutes with the new features and each hexside with one click.
I like your map very much. Impresiv woods overlays

I finally finished (well, more or less) my ASL-map using HexDraw 1.0. It is not meant for use (I haven't played ASL for years), only because I like drawing maps, and needed some project to test HexDraw on.
Now I see that you are well into version 1.1, so perhaps my comments are moot, but here I go anyway.

- Map size is very limited.

- It would be nice with more precise control over map size, and where the hexes are cut. I.e. I would like to be able to make maps that fits directly edge to edge. or that have an overlap that suits me. Of course I can fix that by cutting the map afterwards, but if I could make it directly in the editor, it would be nice.

- For ASL it wasn't very practical to work with woods and brush as hex-features. It was much easier to use overlays.

- It would be nice with a auto smoothing of hex-side features, so that I automatically get rounded corners. Then I can go in afterwards and add some 'randomness' by hand. It can be difficult to make a machine do 'randomness' in a pleasing way.

- It is a very nice tool to work with! Fast and intuitive. The functions for creating your own overlays are a bit difficult though. Perhaps somewhat overdesigned...

Keep up the good work!
