I have decided to create a list of the top 10 games that I own and want to learn and play in 2014. I do not normally do lists like this, but I thought if I set myself a target, then it would be good to see at the end of the year how well I have done.

Some of these games have multiple scenarios, so I will class them as played even if I only play one

I do not intend to rattle through them just to complete my list, I will play them like I do all my games - take my time to learn the rules, study all the angles of the battle and play around with different strategies

My list is as follows (in no particular order):

Lost Battles (Fifth Column Games)

Where there is Discord (Fifth Column Games)

Field Commander Napoleon (DVG)

Hunters (Consimpress)

Picket Duty (Legion Wargames)

Malta Besieged (VPG)

Napoleon at Berezina (ATO)

Gross Deutchland Panzer (WaW)

War in the Pacific, Chile vs Peru & Bolivia (S&T)

Panzerkrieg (OSG/AH)

*Cruel Necessity (VPG)

*Panzer Grenadier (AP)

(*additions to my list. I have played PG before, but it demands more game play, especially as I have four of them!)

UPDATE: my BGG geeklist http://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/167665/target-list-of-game-to-pla...

I will of course be playing other games besides these ones, but these ten games are the ones I really want to learn and  play in 2014.

Do you have such a list or something similar? Please, do share!

Good Geeklist Lawrence. I may have to create one myself, as it may prove a better reminder for myself.

I think I will have to add Panzer Grenadier game to my list. I have played them before, but not nearly enough!

Setting target is good and cool.  I have one here for 2014 but it is broken into two lists as I did not start the list in the beginning of the year:

It's great to look back when you accomplish it!

Another good mix from Gary and Wayne.

I should have really added Cruel Necessity to my list.

You can do more Gary. I did ten as I did not want to over-commit myself.

Pruning a list down to a mere ten was a problem but here we are :

The Hunters (ConSim)

Canadian Crucible (MMP)

Decline And Fall Of Third Reich (AH)

Frederick The Great (AH)

Wellington (GMT)

Kutuzov (GMT)

A House Divided (Phalanx)

Roads To Moscow (GMT)

Ardennes '44 (GMT)

Fortress Europa (AH)

I almost forgot, I want to add organizing my ASL materials. That will take considerable time from the gaming.

Mine is really a mix of old games with new purchases:

ASL (re-commit to a long-neglected love) (MMP)

Heights of Courage (MMP)

Roads to Moscow (GMT)

Saipan and Tinian (Legion)

Tac Air (AH)

continue with France '40 and Road to Cheren

You too have a good and interesting list, Eric. The Sergeants Miniatures Game has interested me for a while as I came across LBG's website a while ago. It looks as if it could be a real blast to play.
