Just finished setting up for my first ever game. I have decided to go the whole hog and use all of the optional rules, instead of my usual tack of playing a basic game first.

and of course, I cannot do anything without Tiggy joining in!!! Luckily, he never moved a single counter

I would, but when I read this, it was time to turn in and you did not seem to be online, which is a real shame as it would have been good to try it

You want to try to connect for a multi-player test?

Tony, no problem, my mistake. I have downloaded it.

Heck, I'm going to need some sort of jig to clip all 2000+ counters for The Battle for Normandy I just bought.

Speaking of counter clipping, I wasted all last night trying to make rounded corners for our module, finally got it to work and they look good.
What do we need on the map margins to help game-play? I was going to make a reinforcement schedule track.

"I am sure a lot of people will appreciate it."
It is just for us, it's not for "a lot of people", it can't be.
We can't make and widely distribute complete game modules without approval of the copyrights holder.
Who that is for this game I don't know, so don't want to get entwined in that mess.
This is a simple test module to help us on here, owners of the physical game, to play head-to-head on-line.
I'm not going to release a finished module. It's just for friends.
(That download link will be deleted after you guys download)

Tony - I was going to use clippers for these ones, but i may still make a jig at work for doing larger amounts. I will downloaded it and let you know of anything that needs changing. Well done for doing it so quickly, I am sure a lot of people will appreciate it.

For this small amount of counters just use some toe-nail clippers, cheap and easy.

The module should be playable now with map and counters (no charts).
It should start with units set-up for the Basic scenario (based on the set-up sheets)
If you guys can, download and test it for me.
Please let me know of any problems or issues (nit-pick please, don't hold back)

the first 2 turns (16th and 17th December) completed, and since I am only using the Basic rules, it is pretty much move-attack, move-attack, as you would expect, but this is just a mere familiarity exercise.

I bought this game off ebay already punched, however, the previous owner had not clipped the corners of the counters which is starting to cause some annoyance. I have seen small devices being sold specifically for trimming the corners off, but I think I might make one at work, so many counters can be done at once.

I have come across a couple of questionable aspects of the rules, but nothing that can't be simply resolved.

As for the game itself - the thin olive line is being slowly pushed back but it is holding out.

That looks awesome Tony, really good.
Who is up for a game once he has done this. No point letting his hard work go for nothing!

Next week I expect to add some more pictures of the actual locations. There are some of Bastogne, Foy and Houffalize.
