Maybe if I wore only a ribbon, I'd get even MORE viewers!

Subtitles? Or perhaps an outrageous accent? Wrapped up in a nice ethnocentric, patronizing ribbon of course...

;)

Oh well. My attempts at French would send a Parisian screaming down the street with his hands over his ears. In fact, I think that may have happened once or twice in the past.

As for views/downloads, I would think it is not a stretch to state that the more popular the game the greater the number of views. For that matter, the simpler the game the more popular. Hmmmm... that last bit may not be accurate. What is accurate is that I really enjoy the GBoH vids you both produce.

If you were right about the simplicity thing, Twister would be my most viewed game.

There's a sweet spot for any site. Really simple games (even ones with more modern appeal)

aren't at the top of the BGG rankings. But, simple for wargames tends to be what is desirable

both there, and probably even among grognards.

yes. thats a more accurate statement. Popular drives views for all the obvious reasons of popn size etc.

The simpler the game the more popular for players? ;)

I'm always surprised by the # of views the SPQR stuff i do gets. There are grognards hiding every where....!

WaW and LnL were popular for me for a while.  I likely need a new series or a new game. I am in a comfort zone playing TCS/Lnl/WaW/GBoH....and now a little SCS. If I was a views whore I'd do some more CC.  I must admit I do enjoy doing videos for C&C Nappy. despite the simplistic nature of the game, there are some fun moments there.

Its a nice expansion on what I think of as a weak Ancients system.

I like your total krieger stuff. I've love to crack a new game, but find it hard to want to invest the time in the rules.

I'd say high views center on what's most popular, which ain't

gonna be the heavy wargames. The SPQR stuff (even the review)

just doesn't pull much in.

So your highest views are mostly simpler games?
-Moi- Ignore the bmw video that is cut off above its a hangover from pre gaming focus. But these are my top ten all times. - CC figures highly. Larger audience to connect with, I assume. I have largely stopped playing that game however. I think the Ancients stuff is largely driven by battle name - i.e. everyone knows Marathon or Cannae.

I THINK (couldn't translate the statement) someone requested just that today.

Sadly, Spanish left me within a year of my leaving Venezuela.

You're big in Spain. Perhaps you should consider multilingual videos?

Couldn't continue the thought after the paste though - and seemed to have cut off some of it.

Other big winners were Twilight Struggle, Pandemic, Twilight Imperium, Here I Stand -

the big popular games. Numbers way under what the big boys get on theirs - but comparable

to what they manage on less popular games.

My biggest numbers are far and away on the intro & review though - so people

are aiming for what they get off Marco/Undead Viking, ect.

The biggest difference is the games covered - Marco covers lighter games (not

just in the wargames) than I tend to (though I'm all over the place).

A quick look at my top views of all time (wow - interface allows nice cut and paste - didn't expect that):
