Thanks Rince! I don't have a publisher. It will just be a free download in pdf format when it is finished.

I am revising the scoring system to increase the points the Communist scores each time he survives a Power Struggle with his power intact.

Great theme, good work! As I don't really have time to playtest this I am awaiting the final version. Have you any publisher yet? I'll surely buy this one. Thanks Ted & Co.

The scoring system will work the same as Twilight Struggle (Presence, Domination and control) except there will be an additional scoring category called Power that the Communist player can get.

Power will be worth the same as the difference between presence and domination.

Essentially if neither player dominates and the Communist has power he will score as though he has domination. If the democratic player has domination, but the Communist retains power, it will be a wash.

When a Power Struggle card is played there will be a confrontation using battlecards. If the democratic player wins the Communist has been toppled from power and can no longer score for Power in that country. The Power Struggle cards will work similarly to We the People and the number of cards will depend on the number of adjacent friendly capitals, spaces in the country controlled, and events.

Played this again today. Still trying to work out the Power Struggle resolution, specifically the battlecard deck and how many cards to each player. The cards will have a rank of 1 to 3 and the difference between the rank of the card led and the matching card will be a drm to the initiative attempt. Base successful 4-6. Leaders act as reserves but always have a +1 for seizing initiative.

I should call this a playtest kit not yet a print and play game. My friend Jason has agreed to help me by playing it over the summer so I expect rules and card updates every few weeks.

Wow! This looks really, really cool! I'm going to have to give this one a go.

Well I printed mine at Staples, but it costs too much to do it that way. ($42) I think there are ways to print it in segments on a home printer. That's what I would do and just tape it together.

I played this last night and my first thought is that the Support Check is too powerful as it stands. I think I will add a -1 drm if the opponent has more SPs in the target space.

Thanks for checking out my game Nic. If you have any ideas for cards or rules changes after you looked over the game please let me know. I have room for another 5 cards or so.
