No, not that "it"...

When playtesting, how do you forget the "old" rules and only remember the new changes? I've been working at this for several years now and have decided maybe I need to hear what other tips and tricks you guys have for dumping old outdated material from the gray matter dustbin and keeping just the new material in your head.

It's not such a problem for me during play, but in post-session discussions on possible changes, updates, alterations, what-have-you I still seem to retain some of the old along with the new. How do you get around that?

I'll tell you what happens when we start (if we start) our play test for Ted R's Case Yellow. They had to make so many changes after our last go at it that it will almost be a new game. I told the head tester ( What else can I call him?) that the rules need to be re-written with the changes marked in some fashion. It's bad enough that with my bad brain it's not hard to try and insert rules from another game all together. Good Luck - JEB
