Actually I've been back into board/wargaming for a couple of years now, and really have enjoyed the hobby! I've been thinking about a few things lately so here are my rambling thoughts.

1. I really like game settings besides the Bulge or Stalingrad. To me it seems like people are way too focused on these battles. Like 15 of the top twenty war games on BGG seem to be about these battles. Jeez...

2. I really like French games. I'm finding the rules, art and subject matter the French guys producing to be awesome. My purchases for August will be the "By the Edge of the Sword" series from Canons en Carton. I also like the look of the Hexasim stuff...

3. I wish there was more science fiction and fantasy war gaming... (and I mean our board/hex and counter games).

Just rambling thoughts....

Hi Andy,

EuroGames might have the genre recently, that you wanted to have in the point no.3. What sorts of SF/Fantasy games are your tastes?
