For those of you who will be attending Origins this week, I will be there, and doing some presentations for Armchair Dragoons.

These are:

Lord Cornwallis Reconsidered (June 12 at 1:00 PM).
General Grant & the Log Foundations of Overland Campaign (June 13 at 1:00 PM)
The Influence of Winfield Scott on the US Army (June 14 at 1:00)
So You Wanna Design a Wargame? (June 15 at 3:00 PM)

In addition I will be representing Line of Departure at Armchair Dragoons' panel, Wargaming Media: State of Play, on June 16 at 10:00 AM).

Well, all the presentations went well, I think. It was also great meeting up with old friends, reconnecting with some, and making a couple of new friends. I just wish that the Origins War College events, like the ones in which I participated, were promoted better. While the audiences were appreciative and knowledgeable, they were small, with twelve as a normal figure. However, in the final media panel in which I represented Line of Departure, we had only two people in the stands. Our panel was bigger than the audience! Thankfully Brant Guillory recorded it, so it will be accessible to a lot more people via the interwebs.
