I ran a demo/practise game of LnL's "Nuklear Winter '68" at the local game shop. The patrons are more of a eurogamer/tabletop miniatures breed, but I think its time for them to be made aware of the Hex&counter scene as well.

It went really well. We played the........ bugger, can't remember the name............. errrrrrrrm "Omega"? scenario where the Germans have to transport V2s to another town, and the Black Hand have to try and stop them.

The Black Hand lost their tanks pretty early and we thought the Germans would have a fairly easy win, but the Black Hand managed to last a lot longer than expected, with the Germans only managing to gain victory in the last turn....... and they very nearly didn't make it.

Everyone had a great time, and I'm now being urged to run some more games. I reckon a NW68 campaign could be in order, but then I also want to demo "World at War", "Fighting Formations", and "Tiger of Malaya"..............
