Steadfast and Loyal, the 4th (Ivy) Infantry Division war in Europe

I am starting this blog to record my play of the Panzer Grenadier campaign for the Ivy Division in Europe. The 4th Infantry Division was one of the key units in the crusader across Europe to liberate it from Hilters terror. Highly decorated and participating in may key battles, the 4th ID's odyssey is captured in this PG supplement.

The campaign consists of 11 monthly turns that allows the players control both the strategic and the tactical situations that faced both the Ivy divisions command as well as the opposing German units. There is no set battles and nothing is exactly the same as the real battles the division fought, but the campaign shows what the division was up against during the 299 day advance. I will chart their D-Day start to their Wurtzburg finale, or a possible German victory of stopping the division.

I will attempt to show the strategic decisions by both the 4th ID's command and the German command for the strategic parts of the battle as well as giving AAR's for the tactical portions of the campaign. I expect this to take quite a while to play and this blog may still be going a year from now. It will be great to document this campaign for others to read and hope to inspire me to do the other PG campaigns sometime in the future.
