The Strategic Review by Dumb and Dumber (David Cameron and Nick Clegg)

The Strategic Review has been done by these 2 muppets, and it is more like a cost cutting exercise.
The 2 most ridiculous plans they have made is to scrap the Harrier and to cancel the new Nimrod spyplane immediately.
There are some things they plan which are understandable, but the Harrier and Nimrod - they must have had their heads up each others arses when they came up with that idea!

As the AV8 is still in service does this mean the US will no longer need to pay licensing costs..... Also who will be retraining UK to land the new fighter on Carriers as by then our pilots will all need to Qualify Re Qualify... Seems to me Cameron may well be receiving some US handshakes or planning his retirement package

Now that is a great example of what is wrong with our benefit system

Richard - your are quite right, the Social system is a privilege, and I agree with what the Tories are doing to stop people abusing it, especially those who live of benefits and see it as a way of life!

My girlfriend Lisa sent me this link about how sometimes you get the entitlement mentality and the abuse in one efficient package.

The Most Aggravating Welfare Recipient in Britain?
Comment by Richard Bradley on October 21, 2010 at 9:29am
The social programs (sic) are in need of serious overhaul - I agree. However, this is solely because some people abuse the system. In my (limited) experience, I think people who tend to be most vehemently against the idea of Social services are those who have never (or rarely) needed them.
The National Health Service and similar Social aid systems were introduced after WW2 - My parents and grandparents knew how terrible it was to live in industrial towns with very limited access to health, pensions and Unemployment benefits- they got rid of the beloved Winston Churchill in 1945 just to get it!

British people-for the most part, do not abuse the system. If anything, I think the fault most people seem to have is they consider our Social welfare systems a right, rather than a privelidge!

How do most Americans cope???! (PS- this is a rhetorical question- I dont want to start a war with our American friends!!!)

I know.
But if Cameron wants cuts, but wants to do it without affecting frontline services, he needs to start at the top, like reducing hby 30% the amount of MP's there are and making local councils cut wages of the head people and reduce the amount of top positions within the councils - this would save us millions...lol
