I made my own copy of To the Last Man a couple years ago. It came out nice and the game is excellent. There is a nice vassal mod for the game to.

Finally got an assembled copy of TO THE LAST MAN, executed by Andrew Tullsen and his Print And Play game company.  He did a fantastic job and the game just has me salivating, wanting to play!  Doesn't look too tough to learn, either.  All of WW I on the Western Front--pieces are Armies, but you keep a side record of how many strength points in each one.

Strafexpedition sounds interesting . I recently downloaded a print and play game on the same topic, Mountains Aflame! It is a traditional hex and counter game, not to complex except for the combat results. It uses the same CRT as Michael Reschs  1914 Twilight in the East.

Just got STRAFEXPEDITION in the mail--two maps, gorgeously produced.  Definitely worth playing and I didn't know scrap about this Austro-Hungarian offensive against the Italians in the Tyrol that came very close to succeeding.  Logistics appears to be a large part of the game since that apparently is the reason why the offensive failed.  Mountain warfare on the grand tactical level.  Quite a unique title from the looks of it!

Just started a a vassal PBEM game of Marne 1918 Friedensturm. This game looks pretty sweet!

Go back fifteen years or so ago--who would have thunk that the term "World War One" monster wasn't an oxymoron? All we had back then was SPI's WORLD WAR ONE WAR IN EUROPE MODULE, KAISERSCHLACHT 1918, and--if you counted it as such--People's War Games THE COSSACKS ARE COMING. We've come a long way since then!

I'm playing Hexasim's Marne 1918 now. Played Scenario1 twice, now playing Scenario 2. Very good game.

I have several WWI games but my favorites are AH 1914, SPI'S Tannenburg and Cambrai, GMT'S Paths of Glory, MIH'S All Quiet on the Western Front, and Great War in Europe(Command) to name a few.

I started my WW1 gaming career with 1914 (wish I still had it!). I still have Guns of August but will never play it. SPIs World War One Module was the biggest wargaming disappointment I can remember but there folio game was very good. I have PoG and Grand Illusion but haven't played them yet. I like SPWs Der Weltkreig series (Schlieffen Plan, Tannenberg / Galicia.....) very much!

I tried Hexasim's "Marne 1918 - Friedensturm" a few months ago. Nice game covering the Western Front May - July 1918. Divisions and some regiments. Interesting artillery rules. Rules overall aren't too complex. Map looks great.

I've played Paths of Glory and Grand Illusion. I had AH's 1914 and used to like it but haven't owned it or played it since the late 70's.
