I would probably freeze to death - literally! (I don't have a thyroid, so I don't generate much body heat with a low metabolic rate.) My Mom has been and said it was wonderful. I just get to look at the pictures...
Thanks for the smile. I wish my wife would play more games. Every once in a blue moon I can get her to play one. Last one she played was a card game called Tyrants of Rome by Lost Battalion Games.
Awwesome video Katie---being a former weekend warrior nco I can understand why you posted it for a lifer like your hubby.
My pop (74 yr old ex 101st) and I think Animal House is probably the best comedic movie ever.
You are going to laugh--I'm actually driving to Germantown with my wife early Monday morning to pick up high school friends who are in town so we can tour the old neighborhood with them (we all went to Colonel Zadok Magruder High School in Rockville). One of them lives off Father Hurley Blvd (on the west side of I-270). We do get up close by every so often. My sister-in-law lives in McLean which is very close--and we drive by Germantown everytime we head up to Pennsylvania to see my ailing parents-in-law. Sometime we'll just hatch plans to drop by. Wish I could have done it this trip (would have saved me mailing Smitty his 1940 game!).
Awesome: Air America Host and Radical Lawyer Ron Kuby May Defend Captured Somali Pirate
"I think there's a grave question as to whether America was in violation of principles of truce in warfare on the high seas," said Kuby. "This man seemed to come on to the Bainbridge under a flag of truce to negotiate. He was then captured. There is a question whether he is lawfully in American custody and serious questions as to whether he can be prosecuted because of his age."
Huh! He came under a flag of truce to negotiate. Well, that changes everything.
God knows pirates are very candid about their intentions and attacks.
