I've been discussing this with Roger. I don't think there's anything wrong with the site, after looking at the source code and testing it in my own old version of FF.
It sounds like some sort of clickjacking attack - but I see no sign on the page source, so it may have been lying latent in his browser. I dunno.
Not wargames, I meant military games, and I have just tried Google Chrome and it was fine. It must be something to do with Firefox, or something looks for Firefox users......
I went onto the site again, which was fine, but when I clicked onto "wargames" I got re-directed onto another website which mentioned about the out of date player www.lpmxp2030.com.
Nasty thing.
I have not tried it on another browser yet, but I will do
Did not mean to alarm, more to warn. I have recently changed to Firefox, and when I went to your new "home", it said my FF video player was needed to be updated. I am normally more cautious about these things, but being new to FF and it's love of add-ons and plug ins I just ok'ed it.....WRONG MOVE.
I got rid of all the crap with Malwarebytes, but it had totally hijacked FF and installed a pile of new programs which needed to be uninstalled.
My bad judgement really as I should know better....ha ha ha
I went there, said I had to install some player as firefox version was out of date, then dumped a shitload of other spammy programs on my PC....I will not be going there to see your vids.....I will stick to youtube
I have been feeling restless of late. Not reading a good book. Just staring at the game shelf. So I rolled up my sleeves and grabbed CoF and started to go over the rules. Then played solo, which is another thing I have not done in a long, long time.
And you know what? It felt really good to get back into both solo'ing and GBoH. Really good. Now I am digging through a book on chariot warfare and feeling a little like my old self again.
Hey Enrico. Are you still trying to figure out this interface. Me too. I am getting a bit better at it. Or is that bitter? Regardless, it is nice to see you here. Jon.

I enjoyed your BGG rant even if I didn't necessarily agree with all of it. Nice to see someone that can swear at my level.
I deleted my account on your new site. I wanted to participate but its to user unfriendly for me.
Adblock and/or turning flash off on the domain is derigor I fear. It may
have been only for a short time, but the ads that the host provides are not
to be trusted. If they can be subverted once, it can happen again.
Ok, the site uses some weird ad providers.
Flash is very easy to abuse, so I'd suggest using adblock or somesuch.
I'm going to try disabling flash on the site as well, but I doubt that will affect the ads they provide.

Looks like the link to the gamebox site is dysfunctional........can you please post it here?
Just had to make sure..... life is an empty experience without internet friend lists
Components/opponents: I figure it's an "and" proposition, not an "or." ;-)
Indeed it is!
Happy Birthday Enrico. May the dice roll your way today, but since you play solo a lot this may be meaningless....
:)
